OUGD505: Focus Group into UX effects

Utilising the target audience, I wanted to find out what they feel about the current interfaces out there looking at collaboration- with the whole crit group not mentioning ever being on any (not even a website like The Dots). The focus group was made up of 4 people, 2 males and 2 females from Illustration, Graphic Design, Photography and Fashion. By having this focus group here, I also asked what they would like to see from a platform such as the one proposed.
  • Tinder has a really smooth and soft user interface, making it addictive to use
  • "The messages on Tinder are often really weird which is it's downfall, there should be a filer system"
  • Constant swiping is good as you often come across things you never knew you needed
  • Accidentally super like when mean to go left (corner sensibility)
  • Sometimes you look at first pic and its an allusion
  • False representations of character profiles
  • Not overpowering or overwhelming interface is essential, simple to use and easy to understand every page
  • Really easy movements, all of the elements are very rounded
  • All the shapes are round and soft, with a very light tone of voice
  • Facebook messenger, like how you can see if they’re last active
  • See if message actually deliver is a useful function
  • Accidentally swiping on the camera function is annoying and unasked for
  • Everyone likes sending GIFS- Art memes/GIFS
  • Twitter to rant
  • Twitter is good for hashtags, so is Instagram- the power of a tag is incredible
  • Annoys the audience how you click to tag someone in a picture on Instagram and it accidentally sends a message
  • Like how you can zoom in on the pics
  • Like the hashtag system on insta
  • Feel good when get likes, used for selfies and posting work, food, clothes etc- all links back to self gratification which is something I want to avoid through the tone of the solution
  • Like on Insta how you can have stories (much more social)
  • Prefer lighter interfaces to darker interfaces
  • Spotify’s different because not a lot of pictures, would be different with images?

-Research what colour scheme goes best with pictures
