OUGD505: Collab: Target Audience

The issue is that there is no currently platform to facilitate collaboration. The idea stems from the problem that the current Leeds College of Art collaboration page is ineffective, which itself highlights an immediate target audience of Leeds College of Art students, creative students in Leeds in general, both male and female, mixed racial demographics but roughly 18-28. There is the considerations for MA and mature students, as well as alumni and students being a cyclical process. This means the target audience is not refined to LCA by any means, yet the current problem gives us a key demographic to launch the platform on. Design considerations are highly integrate with this factor, as I do not want it to seem like a student platform (and cheapen the value), but act as a positive solution for everyone to help better them, so tone of voice needs to encompass this breadth and who may interact with it.

Through feedback it has been clear it is possible for this platform to have a 'Facebook effect', as that was a beneficial platform to one particular university, and spread and adapted like wild fire. So by using this information, we may harness a wider success through keeping the target audience refined.
