OUGD503: LCA Promotional Stand (04)

As the brief requires us to make two stands- we have the set requirements of an 850mm banner and the choice of Straight, Curved or L-Shaped 3 panel banner. As the brief requirements are to consider what would fit best in the space, opting for a L-Shaped display stand may save space in some UCAS fair scenarios, yet would stand out as the only LCA stand to follow an alternative style in situ to the traditional straight display.

Using the Straight banner would give an element of tradition, adding a coherence and brand quality across all LCA promotional stands- not just Graphic Design. However, due to the nature of this briefs and my intentions of making Graphic Design stand out above the rest, I am opting for a Curve template suggesting the course is breaking away from its flat nature and coming off the page- enticing and engaging the viewer because of its difference. Alternatively, the curve breaks away from the current conventions LCA has set out, and with this being the three panel stand, would not be seen in situ with other courses- meaning this subtle curve will not effect the coherence of LCA's brand message. Graphic Design is all about diversity and exploring culture, something which the brief wants to capitalise on. The curve template will allow me to bring elements 'off the screen', utilising the format in a more creative way.

Warped type to highlight to courses modernity and cultural diversity due to non-ridgid ideologies
