As part of our first collaborative brief at Leeds College of Art we were tasked with creating an innivotive map of the city, pin pointing several key locations. Our Group of 5 found this a huge challenge at first, not only to agree on a set theme, but also on a media as we all have very different styles. We found common ground in our practices and decided to produce a hand rendered 'collage-esq' map of the city centre, each taking a place to show our individual styles. I was assigned 'The Tetley', a brewery and art hub with some of the best ales known to man. I tried to capture an oldy-worldy style, with ditsy illustration and showcase each aspect. I don't normally work in this hand rendered way but really enjoyed the challenge and would love to experiment like this further.
